This year, 5th grade at STEAM is very different from last year at Northside. At STEAM, the teachers are assigning us a new style of project-based homework. Each of our classes have came up with a cool nickname. Mrs. J's class is known as JCrew; Mr. Vince has the InVINCEibles and Ms. Moore's class are the S'Moores.

Mrs. J is a fun and hilarious teacher who dos amazing projects and has a great teaching style. She is not afraid to stick up for her kids rights and how they should be taught. A great example of this is one time a couple of years ago she had her kids make a poster with the title GUNS, due to the book they were reading. All in all, Mrs. J is a great teacher.

Mr. Vince has a great sense of humor when he teaches fifth grade. He also thinks that our website is awesome because it is made by students. He loves the new school and says that we have an excited group of learners. Mr. Vince is a carpenter and built the first trebuchet that we used for reference and also built the drop platform for the watermelon and the egg that we dropped from the roof of the school.
